Poem ( My Sweet School)

My Sweet School

School is where one learns,

Knowledge is what one earns,

Teachers, friends are a part of a school,

Without them, a school isn't a school,

A teacher's duty is to teach,

And a student's duty is to breach,

When parents get the complain,

The teacher's trust then gets hard to retain,

Walking back home in the evening,

It feels like my stress is lessening,

I'm happy to be home,

Cause there is every place to roam,

Back to school, early in the morning,

I'm back to a place of learning,

Knowledge is what I'm earning,

School is a source of knowledge,

The best part of my life is being at this stage,

It includes everything,

And it lacks nothing,

Teachers, friends are a part of a school,

Without which a school isn't a school..............

SANDWICH MAKING

YEAR 5

UNIT 1: THE FAMILY DAY

The students brought the ingredients that they know in making sandwiches.

Listing down ALL the ingredients brought by the students.

Writing down the steps in making sandwiches after a discussion in groups.

The sandwich making process was running........

They REALLY enjoyed their very own sandwiches... Bon Apetit!!!!

We were hung for a moment to have this room done and I'd been spying on the spots, getting ready to get dirty. I lost the photos of this room for the first time we opened the door but yeah, if you can imagine a storeroom full of broken furniture, waiting to be demolished and unattended for like ages, then you can feel me.

The first thing we did was, of course hunting for lifesavers! So we had our ultimate hero, Cik Din (our gifted janitor) as our first hunt and our diligent cleaners to follow after him.

So, here's the process.

We removed all the chairs and desks for painting. as we needed to use oil paints for that furniture, so it had to be done outside, under the sun.

Meanwhile, there's a cleaning session in the room.

We're so blessed that our former headmistress, Puan Zalinah Zubir, had sponsored two air conditioners, as the room would be even hotter especially after 10 a.m.

When the ambiance's cool and comfy, then, it's time to fit the rubber mat, so we could...

...fix the curtain.

Pic: Our headmaster, En Hasren sat together to install the curtain hooks. He said he used to do that since he's a small kid :) ) * Sitting on the chair beside him was En Hasmadi, the counselor. Next to me was Faizatul Hanum, a gifted yet talented PPKI teacher who provided 80% of the materials.

We decided to purchase some shoe racks but Cik Din said it was going to cost us more. Instead, he made one nice shoe rack for us.

Then, it's time to get the chairs and desks in.

Meanwhile, on the outside...

We also have this outdoor. En Hasren hoped I could let this spot to be utilized for the Story Telling section, but well, we'll see what we're going to do with this.

By the way, those huts were built by Cik Din...All by himself!
